Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurating the ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Sansthan Rajkot at Sahajanand Nagar said, Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated at Rajkot on the occasion of the completion of 75 years of Swaminarayan Institute along with Amrit Mahotsav of the nation to mark 75 years of India’s independence which is a good combination.
Swaminarayan Gurukul is doing a noble work of inculcating valuable rites along with education among the students. The Chief Minister said that along with acquiring knowledge, students also acquire human values, which are very necessary for building a developed nation.
Bhupendra Patel called upon everyone to participate with a strong national spirit in fulfilling the dream of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for a developed India. With a feeling of pride he said that after the grand victory in the Gujarat assembly election, the Chief Minister has come here to seek the blessings of the saints so that we can work with sincerity and honesty in the development of the state of Gujarat.
Governor Acharya Devvrat said that Rajkot Gurukul has grown from a seed into an institution like a banyan tree. Referring to the principles of the Swaminarayan Institute, he said, In a country where women are respected, the abode of the gods is certain. Indian women have been honoured for years.
Dignitaries including Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat inaugurated the Mahotsav by worshipping the statue of Sahajanand Swami with flowers and cutting the ribbon in the premises of Sahajanand Nagar. The program started with a welcome dance by the children of Gurukul.
The Chief Minister digitally inaugurated the Swaminarayan Gurukul temple in Surendranagar. While Governor Acharya Devvrat virtually inaugurated the Swaminarayan Gurukul temple in Jamnagar. A film of 75 years of the successful journey of Swaminarayan Sansthan was screened.
