As a result of a cyclonic circulation due to western disturbance, Gujarat has been witnessing a fall in minimum temperature for the last two days and according to the latest forecast of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature on Monday may fall up to 9 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast by IMD has issued a cold wave warning in districts like Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Patan, Mehsana, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Junagadh, Porbandar and Kutch and has asked the vulnerable population to take care in the chilly winds.
Ahmedabad on Sunday recorded a minimum of 13.6 Degrees Celsius. Naliya was recorded to be the coldest place in the state on Sunday with a minimum temperature of 7.8 Degrees Celsius.
