Gujarat has the third-highest share after J&K and Himachal Pradesh has more than one crore people Covid vaccinated.
In the state that has a 4.93 crore adult population eligible for vaccination, it
is worth noting that eight out of 10 Gujaratis today are fully vaccinated.
The state crossed the 4-crore mark for second doses of Covid vaccination on December 16.
As per the figures by the state health department figures, as of December 16, Gujarat has 28.5 lakh eligible persons who are yet to take the first shot. The report reveals that the majority of cities of the municipal corporations have over 95 per cent compliance, which is not followed by in districts of Central Gujarat and Saurashtra.
While if we look at Ahmedabad, the city has achieved 99 per cent coverage of the first dose.
