| Updated: July 21, 2022 13:11

All political parties in Gujarat have started preparing for the upcoming Assembly elections. According to the sources, the Central Election Commission team will visit Gujarat on July 22-23 to conduct a two-day workshop for all Gujarat collectors at Gandhinagar Mahatama Mandir.

On July 22, the Election Commission will organise a special workshop regarding the operation of first-level checking of EVMs. A team of 32 District Collectors, Deputy District Officers, and Engineering from EVM supplying agencies will be present during the workshop.

The EC will conduct the first-level inspection of agencies from the Ballot Unit, Control Unit, and VV in the first or second week of August. However, the EC claims that they will finish the inspections by the end of August. According to the reports, there are more than 56,000 polling booths across Gujarat. Moreover, the authorities will also conduct the electoral roll reform campaign from the first week of August to September.

Amid the preparations for Assembly elections in poll-bound Gujarat, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also visited Gujarat on July 21. The AAP National Convenor visited Surat to announce his ‘first guarantee’ under AAP’s campaign. He also held a press conference in Surat.
