Gujarat High Court To Organise A Two-Day National Judicial Conference

Registrar General of Gujarat High Court RK Desai informed on Wednesday that the High Court of Gujarat will organise an All India Judicial Conference on the 9th and 10th of April at the Tent City of Kevadiya Colony, near the Statue of Unity. On 9th April, there would be three sessions on the subject of Mediation and on 10th April, there would be two sessions on the Subject of information Technology.

The conference will preside in the presence of the President of India Ramnath Govind, Governor of Gujarat Acharaya Devarat, Supreme Court Chief Justice N.V Ramana, Chief Justice of Gujarat Justice Aravind Kumar, and other judges of Gujarat High Court.

Justice D.Y Chandrachud, Supreme Court Judge will address the second day of the conference on the topic of ‘Future of Justice-Technology and Judiciary’ through video conferencing.

Topics of the conference were chosen by Chief Justice Aravind Kumar in consultation with other High Court Judges of Gujarat.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Union Minister of Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju and Supreme Court Judges Justice L. Nageswara Rao, Justice A. Abdul Nazeer, Justice M.R. Shah, Justice Vikram Nath, Justice Bela M. Trivedi, will also attend the conferences as special guests.

Speaking to Vibes of India, Desai said that this conference will be one of the largest congregations after the COVID-19 pandemic. “Mediation sessions would cover the aspects relating to court-annexed mediation, commercial mediation, and its benefits to the stakeholders”, he added.

The proceedings of the conference will be live-streamed on the official YouTube channel of the Gujarat High Court.
