Gujarat: Launches Gati Shakti Portal To Integrate 500 Layers Of Data

Gujarat is the 1st state in India to launch Gati Shakti Portal at the state level under the guidance and direction of PM Modi. The “PM Gati Shakti Gujarat” portal was launched by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel at a seminar organised under Azadi @75: PM Gati Shakti Gujarat at GIFT City, Gandhinagar for the implementation of “PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan” implemented by the Prime Minister Modi. This portal will prove to be very important for the realisation of the vision of the Prime Minister and for the speedy implementation of this Master Plan. 

The Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has clearly stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat has become a state to bring about a major change in the infrastructure landscape by implementing the Focused Targeted Action Plan in various sectors.  

Stating that PM Narendra Modi’s “PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan” will make an important contribution in strengthening India’s infrastructure landscape, the Chief Minister added that this plan will ensure not only ease of doing business but also ease of living for citizens. At a time when Gujarat offers immense opportunities for global trade with its convenient industrial ecosystem, huge potential market, political stability and reliable governance, he urged all participants in the seminar to explore the opportunities available in the State and be partners in the growth of Gujarat and India.

The Chief Minister further said that PM Modi, with his visionary reforms, has played a major role in strengthening the balanced and regional development of Gujarat. Emphasis was laid on increasing connectivity in the state for economic prosperity and focused targeted action plans have been implemented for the same, as a result of which the state has undergone a massive change in its infrastructure landscape. 

Elaborating on the visionary initiatives, reforms and action plans implemented in Gujarat under the guidance of the PM, the CM said that the “Pragatipath” scheme will widen and strengthen nine high-speed corridors connecting the ends of the state. A total of 3710 km of highways will be constructed in this project at a total cost of Rs. 2488 crore. Similarly, the “Vikas Path” programme is working for modernization of state roads passing through municipalities, urban areas, cities and big cities.

The “Kisan Path” initiative has improved the quality of life of farmers and their farm produce and milk have reached the market faster. Apart from this, the tourism industry has become more vibrant with the improvement of connectivity between more than 60 tourist destinations through the innovative initiative of “Pravasi Path” in the state. More than 24 districts of the state have benefited from this initiative with focused investments of more than Rs.2300 crore.

Similarly, a mission mode project “Water Grid”, setting up a 75,000 km statewide water grid network for distribution of water for irrigation and a drinking water grid to deliver water to over 14,000 villages and 154 towns, has been undertaken. Apart from this, Gujarat made extensive improvements in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and achieved the status of power surplus state in 2009 and today 24×7 uninterrupted quality power supply is being provided in Gujarat. 

Stating that Gujarat is at the forefront of implementation of Bharat Net project across the country, the Chief Minister said that Gujarat has successfully implemented various digital reforms and projects like Digital Seva Setu Platform, GSWAN. Industrial infrastructure projects, 12-lane Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, rail corridor connecting major cities of Gujarat and Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail projects have been undertaken to further accelerate the development journey of the state. 

Jagdish Vishwakarma , Minister of State for Industry said that “under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan was launched a year ago to speed up the construction of infrastructure in the country and to work seamlessly”. The benefit of the same innovative approach has come to the country today from the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan which is a matter of pride for us. Under this plan, more than 16 departments of the Central Government, various State Governments and various agencies have participated, which will further accelerate the development in the coming time.

Minister Vishwakarma said that under the leadership of The Chief Minister of the State Shri Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat is moving strongly towards ‘Atma Nirbhar Gujarat to Atma Nirbhar Bharat’. While Gujarat has emerged as the ‘Best Preferred Business Destination’, the state’s promotional policies are attracting investors from all over the world. Apart from this, Gujarat’s 2.20 lakh km long road infrastructure, 5200 km of large rail network, 19 airports, 48 ports, BEST power KPCT, expert skill, productive government, safe place are among the factors that are leading to large-scale investments in Gujarat. As a result of these conveniences, today in Gujarat, from pin to plane, production is taking place.. 

Gujarat, which is leading the industrial sector, is playing an important role. In the manufacturing sector, India has overtaken the US to take the second position. In research, India has made rapid progress from 81st to 41st position. In the next 25 years, the country will become a $ 20 trillion economy and the third largest economy in the world after the US and China.
