Gujarat registered a total of 942 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours on Sunday. The state witnessed recoveries of 679 covid-19 patients and deaths of two in the last 24 hours.
The tally of total number of covid-19 cases reached 12,55,171, total recoveries reached 12,37,664 and death toll rose to 10,970. With this, the active cases in the state were 6,537 on Sunday.
Ahmedabad again topped the district-wise list of daily positive cases in Gujarat. The city reported 329 cases in the last 24 hours. Ahmedabad was followed by Vadodara with 140, Surat with 83, Rajkot with 56, Mehsana with 54 and Banaskantha with 47 positive cases on Sunday.
According to the Health and Family Welfare Department of Gujarat, the state administered a total of 3.63 covid-19 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours. With this the number of total vaccinated population reached to 11.65 in the state on Sunday.
