Gujrat: A man in Surat city was killed by his neighbor with a knife for asking for tomatoes from his neighbor. Police have arrested the man who killed in a fight over tomatoes.
This is the case of the Sarthana police station area of Surat city. Vidyadhara Shyamal (40 years), who lived in a rented house in Dwarakaish Society behind Baba Sitaram Hall in Laskana village, had a fight with his neighbor Kalucharan Santosh Guru on the night of January 26. In this fight, neighbor Vidyadhara died on the spot. The deceased Vidyadhara Shyamal and the killer Kalguru Santosh Guru were both neighbors.
On the night of January 25, when Vidyadhara had guests at night, he went to his neighbor Kalguru Santoshguru to get tomatoes for cooking and knocked on the door of his room. But Kalguru Santoshguru did not open the door of his room. The next day, when they met, a discussion started between them.
During this discussion, Kalguru Santosh Guru said to Vidyadhara, “Why did you come to my house at night to ask for tomatoes?” and the fight started. During this fight, Vidyadhara, who went to ask for tomatoes, was stabbed in the stomach by his neighbor Kalguru. Vidyadhara Shyamal fell unconscious on the spot after being stabbed and before he could be taken to the hospital for treatment, he breathed his last.
Surat police ACP Prakash Patel said that the accused Kalguru Santosh Guru has been arrested in the murder that took place over asking for tomatoes. Both the deceased Vidyadhara and the killer Kalguru Santosh Guru are originally from Ganjam district of Odisha and work in Surat as loom operators.
