In order to strengthen the air defense system of the country, the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) has initiated the Centre for Futuristic Defense Studies (CFDS) with an aim to develop state-of-the-art drone technology.
With increasing instances of drone attacks and foreign drones being found inside the country’s border, the need to have high-tech drones and field experts for it is a necessity. This is the reason and aim behind initiating CFDS at NFSU, said the Chancellor of NFSU.
He also informed that CFDS will be a Centre for training experts in high-tech drone technology as well.
Recently, Abu Dhabi witnessed a drone attack at its international airport, which resulted in some casualties too. Also, In February 2019, a foreign drone was seen near Abdasa of Gujarat followed by a hexacopter in Mohawa village of Punjab in August 2019. Jammu Air Force base too intercepted a drone in June 2021.
