Gujarat Once Again Reports Daily Covid-19 Cases Over 1,000; Active Caseload Reaches 6,407

After recording little low cases for two consecutive days, Gujarat on Wednesday again reported daily positive cases over 1,000. The state registered a total of 1,059 fresh covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, as many as 909 covid-19 patients recovered from the infection and no deaths due to covid-19 were reported in the state. With this, the active caseload on the state reached 6,407 on Wednesday.

As usual, Ahmedabad reported highest number of daily positive cases in Gujarat on Wednesday. The city registered 372 new daily positive cases. Vadodara followed Ahmedabad with 162 fresh covid-19 cases, Rajkot with 114, Surat with 74, Mehsana 35 and Amreli with 31 cases. Other districts either reported no case or total cases below 30.

With this, the overall tally of the cases in Gujarat reached 12,57,710 with total recoveries in the state reaching a cumulative figure of 12,40,332 and the death toll remaining unchanged at 10,971 in the last 24 hours on Wednesday.

According to the Health and Family Welfare Department of Gujarat, the state administered as many as 2.26 lakh doses, with the total administered doses by the state till date reaching 11.73 crore on Wednesday.
