Gujarat on Sunday recorded 177 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours bringing the total active cases tally to 948 while 10 patients are on ventilator support. Gujarat has 49 cases of the Omicron variant.
Ahmedabad recorded the highest number of new cases at 52, followed by Rajkot with 24 cases. Surat recorded 20 cases. Vadodara, Rajkot and Valsad recorded 15, 12 and 8 new cases, respectively.
India reported 6,987 fresh Covid-19 cases today, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare data. India’s active caseload currently stands at 76,766. India also recorded 162 deaths.
As the number of Covid-19 active cases is on a rise, night curfew will be imposed in Delhi from Monday between 11PM and 5AM.
There were 31 new Omicron cases reported in Maharashtra bringing the total tally of the new variant in India to 141 cases in Maharashtra.
