Gujarat Registers 678 Fresh Covid-19 Cases In Last 24 Hours, Ahmedabad Reports 261

A total of 678 new covid-19 cases were reported in Gujarat in the last 24 hours. Adding this to the total number of cases registered till date, the tally reached 12,62,600 cases in Tuesday.

The state also reported a total of 810 recoveries of covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of recoveries in the Gujarat were at 12,45,890 cases on Tuesday.

Talking about district-wise chart of the daily positive cases on Tuesday, Ahmedabad recorded a highest of 261 positive covid-19 cases, slight higher than the previous day. Also, the city witnessed a death of covid-19 patient, the sole death in Gujarat, on Tuesday. With this, the death toll in the state stood at 10,981 on the day.

Followed by Ahmedabad, the other two districts recording high number of covid-19 cases on Tuesday were, Vadodara with 91 positive cases and Surat city with 37 cases.

The active caseload on the state reached 5,729 in the last 24 hours with 1,901 just in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.

According to the Health and Family Welfare Department of Gujarat, a total of 1.53 lakh people were inoculated against covid-19. This led the total number of doses administered by the state till date to reach 11.91 crore on Tuesday.
