Gujarat on Wednesday registred a total of 979 fresh Covid-19 cases with no deaths in the state in the last 24 hours.
Not changing the trend, Ahmedabad yet again reported highest number of cases in the state with 344 fresh Covid-19 cases on Wednesday. Ahmedabad was followed by Mehsana with 103 new positive cases, Vadodara with 74 cases, Surat with 72, Rajkot with 55 and Kutch with 46 positive cases in the last 24 hours.
With this, the overall tally of positive cases in the state reached 12,50,988 with 10,964 total deaths due to Covid-19 and as many as 12,34,243 patients recovered from the infection till now. The total number of active cases in the state stood at 5,781 cases on Wednesday.
According to Health and Family Welfare Department, over 3.19 lakh people took their vaccination jab against Covid-19. This resulted into tally of the doses administered in the state reached 11.46 crore till Wednesday.
