Showing a decreasing trend, the daily positive covid-19 cases tally in Gujarat was reported to be 606 in the last 24 hours on Monday. Notably, just four days ago, the daily cases in the state were crossing one thousand mark for consecutive days.
Ahmedabad on Monday too registered a notch lower in the daily positive covid-19 cases – 176 cases in the last 24 hours. The city was followed by Surat with 77, Mehsana with 75, Vadodara 73, Gandhinagar 40 and Rajkot with 25 covid-19 cases among others.
Gujarat on Monday witnessed a recovery of 729 covid-19 patients with one death in the last 24 hours. This took the state’s total cases’ tally to 12,55,777 and the covid death toll to 10,971. Apart from this the recovery count in the state reached 12,38,393, leaving 6,413 active caseload on the state.
Also, the state administered a total of over 2.74 lakh covid-19 vaccination doses in the last 24 hours, making the tally of total vaccinated population in the state reach over 11.64 crore, stated the Health and Family Welfare Department of Gujarat.
