Gujarat Reports 635 Covid-19 Cases In Last 24 Hours, Ahmedabad Registers Drop

After reporting over 300 daily Covid-19 cases on July 7, Ahmedabad on Friday registered quite a lower number of cases in the last 24 hour.

The city on Friday registered 212 fresh Covid-19 cases, which were around two-third of the previous day count of 309 Covid cases. Notably, Thursday marked a highest number of cases in the last 24 hours of June and July together.

With this, Gujarat also reported a slight fall in the daily positive Covid-19 in comparison to the previous day. The state reported 636 Covid-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours on Friday, which were 717 on Thursday.

Ahmedabad was again the highest Covid-19 cases registering city in the state on Friday, followed by Surat city with 86 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. After this, Vadodara city reported 57 cases, Surat rural registered 38 cases, Gandhinagar city and Gandhinagar rural reported 38 and 30 cases respectively followed by Bhavnagar with 26, Valsad with 16, Kutch with 15, Bharuch and Navsari with 13 each and Patan and rural Rajkot reported 11 cases each on Thursday in the last 24 hours. The other districts in the state either registered no case or cases in single digits.

According to the Health and Family Welfare Department of Gujarat, the active Covid-19 cases tally in the state reached 3,893 in the last 24 hours with no deaths on Thursday.
