Gujarat Roadshow In Seoul To Woo South Korean Investors

The Gujarat government’s one of the most celebrated annual business events ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ is scheduled for January next year.

As part of the promotional exercise for the marquee event, a roadshow was organised in South Korea’s capital city Seoul on Tuesday, an official statement stated.

The Gujarat delegation was led by Ashwini Kumar IAS, Principal Secretary, Government of Gujarat. In his presentation, Kumar highlighted the sectoral opportunities in Gujarat, especially in the semiconductor and electronics space.

He also discussed the opportunities in GIFT City. Eun Young Yang, Director General, KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) and Ambassador of India in Korea, Amit Kumar also addressed the gathering.

This was followed by the sharing of the ‘Gujarat’ experience by Sean S H Oh, Director, Kukdo Chemicals, a Korean entity with a presence in Gujarat.

Sanjiv Mulgaonkar, Head, L&T Defence presented the success story of the partnership between L&T Defence and Hanwah, a leading Korean firm.

The roadshow was followed by one-to-one meetings between leading business groups from South Korea, including Hanwah, Simmtech, Lotte Fine Chemical, LG Energy, LX International, and SungEel HiTech, the statement added.
