Banaskantha district of Gujarat is now becoming a gateway for narcotics. Earlier, mephedrone drugs were seized from the Amirgarh check post and now the Special Operation Group (SOG) has arrested a Himachal man, found with drugs to the tune of Rs 1.46 Crore.
A young man from Himachal Pradesh was travelling via Gujarat with drugs. Meanwhile, the Banaskantha District SOG received a tip-off from the police and set up a watch at the Amirgarh checkpost. Followed by this, he was then arrested by the SOG.
The man detained by the police has been identified as Kiran Negi, a resident of Kullu in Himachal Pradesh who is now under interrogation.
During the interrogation, the arrested man said that he used to cultivate drugs in the forests of Himachal and used to sell it in Goa. He further said that he confessed to having sold drugs two times before this.
