Gujarat: Tesla Rival Triton Sets Up World’s Largest R&D Facility

| Updated: May 27, 2022 17:45

Triton EV, known as a pioneer in the EV industry, has established a comprehensive Research and Development (R&D) Center facility in Kheda, Anand District, near Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The facility covers 1 lakh 50 thousand square feet and will serve as the global hub for Triton EV’s entire R&D operations, including Triton EV Trucks, Triton EV Cars, and special purpose vehicles.

The Indraprastha Industrial and Warehouse Park is located in Kheda, Anand, Gujarat, about 45 minutes from Ahmedabad, and is well connected to the national highway, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Delhi Highway. The R&D facility is strategically located near Ahmedabad and Triton’s EV Manufacturing Hub in Bhuj, Gujarat, allowing for faster decision making.

“Transportation and commuting are changing. Our social inclination toward clean energy-led clean environment is the major trend we are all witnessing. Triton EV has long-term plans to serve this market and produce the most redundant and powerful EVs for consumers. “This R&D facility demonstrates our commitment to building the most advanced, robust, and smart EVs,” said Himanshu Patel, Founder and CEO of Triton EV.

Triton EV signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat State Government a few weeks ago to establish the world’s iconic EV Truck Manufacturing Hub with a minimum investment commitment of Rs 10800 Cr over 5 years. This acquisition is a significant step toward their goal of producing a complete ‘Make In India’ Industry’s first EV Truck from India.
