The Gujarat Veterans Footballers Sports Association (GVSA) is organising a football tournament. Comprising eminent sports personalities, including international and senior national-level football players, referees, and coaches, the non-profit organisation registered with the Charity Commissioner in Ahmedabad, Gujarat is dedicated to the promotion of games and sports, with a particular focus on football and the welfare of athletes.
The primary objectives of the GVFA are to promote the game of football and to organise tournaments and coaching camps for various age groups, encompassing both boys and girls.
Scheduled for October 7 and 8, 2023 at SRPF, Group-3, Madana, Palanpur, Gujarat, the GVFA welcomes participants in three categories: girls, Under-17 boys and veterans.
The Gujarat Veteran Footballers’ Association kindly requests that parents and guardians allow their daughters and sons to participate in this tournament. Additionally, it is important to note that the tournament committee will provide food (lunch and breakfast) for all participants. The tournament format will feature 9-a-side football matches, with each team consisting of 12 players and 1 coach-cum-manager. Rolling substitutions will be allowed during the games. Importantly, there will be no participation fee for the teams involved.
