As a part of India’s 75 years of Independence campaign – Azaadi kaa Amrit Mohotsav, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit interacted with Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of all the states and Union Territories regarding the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.Under the campaign, to begin from August 13 for three days to August 15, people across the country are expected to hoist the national flag of India at their houses.Har Ghar Tiranga is a programme to take the feeling of patriotism in the mind and heart of every citizen of the country, said Home Minister Amit Shah adding that “More than 20 crore houses or more than 100 crore people will hoist the tri-colour at their houses and dedicate themselves in service of Mother India.” During the interaction the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel ensured that the state government has done an extensive planning that more than one crore houses (50 lakh in rural areas and 50 lakh in urban areas) hoist the tri-colour at their houses in Gujarat.Stating that a total of 50 lakh flags will be purchased from the Central government-fixed agency so that to provide every single household in the state with a tri-colour, the Chief Minister further added that Gujarat government will be undertaking a campaign to ensure that the citizens of the state buy and hoist the tri-colour at their houses.
