In a heinous crime in Gujarat that will make all Gujarati with an iota of decency lower their head in shame, four men are booked for ‘gang-raping’ a hearing and speech impaired migrant woman in a village in Mehsana. The woman was allegedly gang-raped several times by the four accused in a village.
It is all the more revolting that it fell upon the 5-year-old son of the victim in her late twenties to apprise his father about the horrific incident.
When the woman’s husband tried to confront the accused after knowing about the rape, they threatened to kill the couple and their child, forcing them to leave Mehsana.
Police booked the four persons under sections of gang rape (IPC 376D) and 506 for criminal intimidation after the woman filed a Zero FIR from her native place in Rajasthan. A person can submit a complaint and get the FIR filed at any police station regardless of where the crime took place, under provisions of zero FIR.
