Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday inaugurated Sardar Patel Sanskrutik Bhavan at his ancestral town Mansa in Gandhinagar. At the inauguration event Shah said, “This is my town. My forefathers arrived here in 1361. I studied in a decrepit library, and today, after the inauguration of the same library’s new building, I am overjoyed. This library has direct online access to 30 libraries around the world. As a result, lakhs of books will be housed in this library.”
He vowed to make Mansa an ideal example of co-operatives with the help of local cooperative leaders.
Speaking at the occasion Shah said that Mansa civil hospital will be equipped with hi-tech facilities so people will not have to go to Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar for treatments.
Amit Shah also inaugurated Akshaya Patra Mid-Day Meal kitchen in Mansa. He said this kitchen will be a great boon for Mansa town as it will provide nutritious food to the children at government schools.
He congratulated Akshaya Patra Foundation’s administration for their efforts towards making India a malnutrition-free country.
Earlier on Saturday, the Union Home Minister inaugurated a Police Headquarters CCTV Control Room in Gandhinagar. He also launched the e-FIR system so that people can register their complaints online.
