In this holy month of Shravan, a unique Shivaling has been constructed in Rajkot. It is said to be the tallest Shivaling in Gujarat with the height of 29 feet and a width of 12 feet. One lakh, eleven thousand and one hundred and eleven rudraksha paras have been placed on this Shivalinga. Arrangments have been seen to ensure that worshippers can go to the Shivaling and perform Jal Abhishek. The Shivalang is something new as it also has a big Nandi in front of Shivaji, who is 6 feet tall. The tortoise in front of Nandi is three feet big.
The huge Shivaling is been built at Sanjaybhai Rajyaguru college in Rajkot City. Around the temple, two big ponds have also been constructed to add to its charm. There is a distance of 12 km between the temple and Rajkot. Many other programs have also been organized there on occasion of Shravan Month.
