IBSF Gujarat Frontier HQ on February 10,2022, held an inauguration ceremony of a new building for BSF Ankur Play School in Gandhinagar.
Kanu bhai Mohanlal Desai, Minister of Finance, Energy and Petrochemicals Govt of Gujarat inaugurated the building. Several other dignitaries were present at this event including – IAS, Sunaina Tomar, Additional Chief Secretary Dept. of Social Justice and Empowerment, IAS Mamta Verma, Principal Secretary, Energy & Petrochemicals, Chairman, GETCO, Smt Savita Malik, BWWA President, BSF Gujarat Frontier, Upendra Pande, MD, GETCO, Sh R K Singh, Offg DIG/PSO, staff and children of Ankur Play School, and other officers of BSF Gujarat Frontier.
During the ceremony, Kanu bhai Mohanlal Desai expressed his gratitude towards BSF on behalf of the people of Gujarat. He also put emphasis on the role of BSF in securing our borders and assisting the state administration, be it the Law & Order situation or natural calamity. Additionally, he also assured all possible assistance to BSF by Gujarat Govt in all their endeavours.
Under, CSR head, Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited(GETCO) provided funds of Rs 1 Cr for the up-gradation & development of Ankur Play School. The freshly constructed building of Ankur school comprises four classrooms, an office cum staff room and a 305 Sqm large separate washroom for boys and girls.
The school classrooms are set to be well equipped with furniture, computers, interactive boards and T.V screens.
GETCO has also additionally sponsored Rs 15 Lakh for setting up open gym in BSF Gandhinagar campus which are equipped with 42 different and advanced training equipment. 22 of such high-tech equipment have already been installed and inaugurated on January 31, 2022.
On the occasion, the chief guest and other dignitaries were presented with a memento as a token of remembrance.
