IIIT-NR Student Bags Record Rs 85 LPA Package Setting New Benchmark For Institute

| Updated: October 10, 2023 17:45

Rashi Bagga, a BTech student of International Institute of Information Technology Naya Raipur (IIIT-NR), broke all previous placement records of the institute by securing a job package of a staggering Rs 85 lakh per annum.

Already holding a plump offer from another company, Bagga chose to test her mettle in the job market, and went on to attend more interviews, eventually succeeding in bagging this record-breaking offer.
Prior to this impressive achievement, Bagga held positions as an SDE Intern at Intuit in Bengaluru and as a Software Developer Intern at Amazon. Since July 2023, she has been contributing her talents to Atlassian as a Product Security Engineer.

Fellow IIIT-NR student, Chinky Karda, was previously the record-holder, having landed a package of Rs 57 lakh per annum from the same company last year.

Another student, Yogesh Kumar, snagged a respectable Rs 56 lakh per annum for a software development role with a multinational company.

In 2020, IIIT-NR student Ravi Kushashwa had been offered a stunning Rs 1 crore per annum deal from a large multinational, though he was unable to take it due to the pandemic.

For the fifth consecutive year, IIIT-NR has achieved a 100 per cent placement rate. With Bagga’s placement setting a new precedent, the institute’s average Cost To Company (CTC) for this year’s batch was revised to Rs 16.5 lakh per annum, with a median CTC of Rs 13.6 lakh per annum.
