The summer weather in Gujarat is worsening day by day, with temperatures rising above normal. Along with that, the dry weather is making it harder for the people in Gujarat to cope with this extreme heat. Ahmedabad city, which has already crossed the 44-degree mark, could reach 45°C today, as per the weather department.
As per reports, Ahmedabad city has witnessed 44°C temperatures for the last three days, whereas its minimum temperature settled at 30°C, which is 2.9 degrees higher than the normal situation.
This situation is affecting the day-to-day life of the city’s people. Due to the extreme heat, people are avoiding going out of their houses during afternoon hours, whereas those who have urgent work rely on water and Nimbu pani.
As per the IMD forecast, the average maximum temperature in Gujarat will remain around 41°C, whereas in several areas of the state, the temperature may cross 45°C.
On Tuesday, Ahmedabad may witness a temperature of 45°C, and an orange alert has been issued for Surendranagar and Kutch for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Banaskantha, Patan, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Anand, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Amreli, and Devbhumi Dwarka have received yellow alerts for today.
