To commemorate the 75 years of independence, Income Tax department of Gujarat has planned several events. To inform and guide students about the sacrifice made by our soldiers and pay them an artistic tribute, a greeting card competition was organised for government school students across Gujarat. Students made over 800 cards for Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers doing their duty on the Kutch border.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has planned several events across the nation. In this Finance Ministry iconic week, the office of Commissioner of Income Tax (Exemptions), Ahmedabad under the guidance of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Exemptions), New Delhi has planned several events.
Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Exemptions) Ritesh Parmar said, “In order to express our gratitude towards the soldiers defending the international borders we asked the students across Surat, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, Ahmedabad and other places–to make greeting cards and pay tribute to these brave lives. It is important to imbibe a sense of gratitude at a young age.”
The competition was planned in April-May 2022 for the students of Class VI to VII in various schools. The department received over 800 cards from over 10 schools. All the greeting cards will be handed over to the BSF headquarter at Bhuj before Independence day.
Additional Commissioner of Income Tax Dept (Exemption) GC Daxini (Range 1) and Additional Commissioner of Income Tax Dept (Exemption) Neeju Gupta (Range 2) also actively worked to make the event a successful one.
