Union Ministry of Health has confirmed that the Omicron tally in the country has reached 1,700, of which 50% cases are from Maharashtra (510)and Delhi ( 351) only. 639 have recovered.
Country’s active Covid cases are at 145582 with 33750 fresh cases. 10846 are reported to be recovered and death is reported for 123.
Meanwhile, The Union Health Ministry will kickstart the campaign for vaccinating the teenagers, aged between 15 to 18 years,. Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin, will be administered in two doses 28 days apart to eligible children.
While Covid cases are rising, instances of serious disease remained low. However, the state governments considered new curbs for containing the spread. Delhi recorded 3,194 and Mumbai saw 8,063 new cases. A total of 3,194 new cases were also recorded in Kolkata.
As of now, 825196 people are so far affected in Gujarat by novel coronavirus covid-19 of which 81493 have recovered.10078 patients have died so far due to coronavirus in Gujarat and 184 patients are still in hospital and recovering. T
