In a shocking incident, a woman, around 25 years age, injured with her throat slit in Kachiya pole area of Anand’s Umreth town was rescued from her locked house on Sunday.
The woman had moved into the rented house along with an unidentified youth just a day before she was attacked. People in the neighbourhood came to know about the incident after they heard her screams.
The youth locked the house from outside before fleeing the spot. Residents of the locality contacted the police and called the 108 emergency ambulance service through which the woman was shifted to Nadiad civil hospital from where she was taken to Ahmedabad for treatment.
Locals had heard heated arguments between the couple on Saturday. The cops did not come across any documents that could establish the identity of either of the two when they searched the house.
