Irresponsible Addor Aspire 2 Builders Involved In An Earlier Accident At Cloud 9 Scheme Also

| Updated: September 16, 2022 12:52

Even as callous, insensitive builders of Addor Aspire 2 try to escape the police net by “managing” and “settling” things; questions are being raised on why the Ahmedabad police has not been booking them for man slaughter. Seven labourers working on the construction site behind Janvi Restaurant in Panjrapol area of Gujarat University were killed when a makeshift lift crashed. The Addor Aspire 2 scheme is of 12 city. Out of which the two names of the company’s builders are Vikas Kanaiyalal Shah and Ashish kanaiyalal Shah.

It has now transpired that these same builders executed yet another scheme called Cloud 9 in the Nehrunagar area, where three labourers had died. “They are now trying to give away a few lacs to the poor labourers and their families and burying the issue,” Bhavik Raja of Moment for Secular Democracy, told Vibes of India.
The All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO) held a candle vigil in memory of the seven labourers who died in the tragedy.

Even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolence at the death of the labourers who were not given any safety gear at the plush Addor Aspire 2 construction site, the police laxity in the case became a talking point in Ahmedabad. None of the Aspire 2 offices cost below a crore and still, the builders did not spend on safety gear or a full-time managerial person to handle the labourers and their welfare. Allegations are being heaped on two senior IPS officers who are believed to be working in conduit with the builders and who reportedly instructed the police staff to only register accidental death complaints and not that of murder against the builders.

The police have summoned the RERA officials to share more information on the scheme. Vibes of India has reliably learnt that the builders did not take permission from the required authority for lift installation also. The builders must obtain authorization from the Chief Inspector of Lifts and Escalators.

Gujarat University police station Inspector VJ Jadeja said that the labourers who died in the tragedy are; Sanjaybhai Babubhai Nayak, Jagdishbhai Rameshbhai Nayak, Ashwinbhai Somabhai Nayak, Mukesh Bharatbhai Nayak, Mukeshbhai Bharatbhai Nayak, Rajmal Sureshbhai Kharadi and Pankajbhai Shankarbhai Kharadi, respectively. They all hail from Ghoghamba in Panchmahals.
