Ahmedabad’s ISKCON has launched ‘Gita Rath’ wherein a chariot, departing from Ahmedabad will traverse through different villages of Gujarat distributing the Bhagavad Gita.
The aim of this Rath is essentially to educate people about the importance of the holy book Gita. It aims to encourage people read the book. Along with the book distribution, Harinam Sankirtan will be performed by a few people from the Rath in every village.
The program was inaugurated by a senior ascetic Vaishnava Swami of the ISKCON temple Vrindavan. The devotees also decided to distribute as many as 1.5 lakh Bhagavad Gita by this month.
