“Samuyukta Kisan Morcha’, the body of agitaing farmers is waiting to hear a formal word from the Government regarding their six pending demands spelt out in a memorandum after their protests forced the Government to yield in the favour of replealing the imposed farm laws.
The Protesting farmers will announce their next course of action and format of their protests today. “Till the time there is no formal assurance form the Government, about the six still pending demands , the agitaton continues” The key demands sent to the Prime Minister in a letter are pre-conditions for any withdrawal of agitating farmers on the Delhi border at various points.
The Six demands are : 1) Guaranteed MSP 2) Withdrawal of the draft ‘Electricity Amendments Bill, 2020/2021’, 3) Withdrawal of cases against farmers and building a memorial for the protesters who lost their lives during the agitation, 4) Removal of penal provisions against farmers Regarding Air Polution 5) Providing compensation to the families of the over 700 farmers who died during the agitation, 6) Sacking and arrest of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, whose son is accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri Run-over on the farmers.
