Gujarat: Stolen Table From Vikram Sarabhai Statue Recovered, Poor Teens Behind Theft

Three teens in their teens who carried out a theft of some items such as pen, book, and table from the statue of Vikram Sarabhai on Riverfront near Usmanpura on 26th of November have been found by the police. The statute was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi earlier.

After the noticeable change in the appearance of the statue the Riverfront Security had immediately informed police about the theft.

Further investigation revealed that three teens of ages 17,15 and 14 years respectively had carried out the theft. These young thieves were caught and after a whole round of questioning them the police found out that they had sold this stuff for Rs12,000 and had bought sweets, clothes and fire crackers, the Diwali essentials, from that money.

The teens claiming to be orphans live near Income Tax road and make a living by selling scrap iron pieces. The table, pen and the book container were found at the shop they had sold it but they remain unaware of the book but the police officials are still carrying out investigations.
