A Jharkhand man, who works as a carpenter in Ahmedabad was allegedly drugged and robbed when he was to board a train to his native at the Ahmedabad railway station.
The 23-year-old alleged that while he was waiting for the Kolkata Weekly Express on platform number 3, a man approached him and started a conversation. In which, they came to know that they both belong to Jharkhand and hence started conversing further, stated the FIR filed by the victim – Upendra Rana.
He further stated that in some time they both went for some snacks and the accused brought two cups of tea. Rana took his cup and had one sip from it and threw the rest away and then they soon boarded the train and settled where felt unconscious. In a couple of hours, the train reached Chhayapuri Station and Rana woke up to learn that his wallet was stolen. He called the accused, as both had exchanged their numbers, but his phone was switched off.
On realising the whole plotting, he went back to the Kalupur railway station in Ahmedabad and filed a plaint with the Government Railway Police (GRP) at the railway station.
