A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) corporator for Ashapura Dham Panchhatadi area in Junagadh, Hitendra Udani, has said that the building, in which his house is located, is completely dilapidated. A small part of the said building has also collapsed. He is currently living with his son-in-law. He said if the building suddenly collapses it could be dangerous for pedestrians and commuters.
Udani said that he had contacted the commissioner’s office regarding the matter several times. He had been assured that the building would be taken down within the next 20 days but no action has been taken yet.
The said building is located near a small vegetable market opposite the Municipal Corporation office in the area. Udani has hinted that he would start an agitation if the building is not taken down immediately.
