A new song from the late Rishi Kapoor’s final film, Sharmaji Namkeen, is now available. The upbeat song, titled Laal Tamatar, depicts Rishi Kapoor’s character, a retired old guy, identifying and enjoying his new hobby of cooking. The song is about how he begins cooking for a rowdy women’s kitten circle and gradually becomes friends with them. In half of the song, Paresh Rawal takes his position.
While Rishi’s cheery presence on television lets his fans fall in love with him all over again, his substitution with Paresh Rawal underscores his untimely demise while filming. The personalities of the two well-known actors are markedly different.
