Man Arrested for Animal Cruelty

Guna, Madhya Pradesh – A man has been arrested for animal cruelty in Guna, Madhya Pradesh. The man, identified as Mrityunjay Singh, is a resident of Radha Colony in Guna. He was arrested on December 10, 2023, after a video of him abusing a puppy went viral on social media.

In the video, Singh can be seen kicking and throwing the puppy around. He also tries to strangle the puppy with a rope. The puppy was later rescued by locals and taken to a veterinarian.

The video sparked outrage on social media, with many people calling for Singh to be arrested. The incident also drew the attention of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who ordered the police to take action against Singh.

Singh was arrested on charges of animal cruelty. He was produced in court on December 11, 2023, and remanded in judicial custody.

The incident has once again highlighted the issue of animal cruelty in India. Animal rights activists have called for stricter laws to be enacted to protect animals from abuse.

In a statement, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “The incident of animal cruelty in Guna is heart-wrenching. Action has been taken against the accused. All such acts of barbarism are inexcusable. The accused will be punished severely for this crime.”

The statement also said that the government is committed to protecting animals and that it will take all necessary steps to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
