Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.

It is believed that Lord Shree Swaminarayan came upon earth in the 18th century and decided to impart teachings based on morality, respect, honour and decency.
Lord Swaminarayan established the Swaminarayan Faith and inspired thousands of people from all creeds and classes to become devout disciples. These tenets formed the foundations of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan.
Lord Shree Swaminarayan’s teachings have been kept alive through his divine heritage of spiritual successors, starting from Shree Gopalanand Swamibapa, whom the Lord Himself established as His spiritual heir and leader of His divine Faith. In this heritage then came Shree Nirgundasji Swamibapa, Shree Ishwarcharandasji Swamibapa and Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa; and today, the divine heritage of Lord Shree Swaminarayan is represented by Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj. These are the Acharyas, the sovereigns of Lord Shree Swaminarayan’s divine office, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi.
Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa took the responsibility for the Faith in 1942 CE and established Shree Swaminarayan Temple in Maninagar, Ahmedabad, India as the headquarters of the Swaminarayan Gadi Faith. Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan continues to flourish remarkably throughout the world.
In accordance with the teachings of Lord Swaminarayan, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan performs numerous activities for the welfare of humanity. These include providing food and shelter to the poor, medical and educational assistance to the underprivileged and urgent relief assistance during times of natural disasters.
