MICA, Ahmedabad All Set To Host ICMC 2022

MICA, Ahmedabad is all set to host the eighth edition of the International Communication Management Conference (ICMC 2022). The three-day conference, scheduled to begin tomorrow, will deliberate on the theme ‘The Future of Business in a Digital Era: Data, Analytics, and Narratives’.
With the University of Southampton, the United Kingdom as its academic partner, the conference aims to bring together on virtual mode over 300 research scholars and industry experts. It will provide a platform for insights into topics like emerging narratives, ideas, practices, and approaches to the future of business in a digital era.

Established in 1991, MICA claims to be the only residential institute in the Asia-Pacific region that is dedicated to creating leadership in strategic marketing and communication.

Dr Shailendra Raj Mehta, President and Director, MICA, said, “ICMC 2022 on the theme ‘The Future of Business in a Digital Era: Data, Analytics, and Narratives’ provides a platform for academia and practitioners from across the globe to discuss, debate, and thrash out ideas that are going to revolutionize the businesses.”

Dr Preeti Shroff, Dean, MICA, said, “We are delighted to partner with the University of Southampton, UK. The MICA International Conference 2022 will encourage global reflections and conversations to address – how to build a post-digital mindset, customer-centric culture, and data world capacity for inclusive businesses and collaborative governance that lead to broader societal transformations.”

Lord Patel of Bradford, a member of the House of Lords will deliver the keynote address. Prof. Jaideep Prabhu from the University of Cambridge will be the chief guest at the valedictory function.

ICMC 2022 will also host panel discussions on ‘The Future of Digital and Data-Driven Businesses,’ ‘First Principles of Digital Marketing,’ and ‘Building Marketing AI Strategy for Competitive Advantage – Strategic Perspectives.’

To encourage research, MICA has increased the prize money. The best paper will receive Rs. 4,00,000 (USD 5,350), the runner-up will receive Rs. 2,00,000 (USD 2,675), and the second runner-up will receive Rs. 1,00,000 (USD 1,340).
