Milked An Ox: Kejriwal On Winning 5 Seats In Guj

| Updated: December 19, 2022 13:27

Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal had an interesting analogy to describe his party’s 5 seat win in recently held Gujarat assembly. He said that winning those seats was as difficult as “milking an ox”.

Arvind Kejriwal expressed his joy over the fact that his party could muster 14 per cent vote share during the National Council meeting of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) at Calista Resort in Kapashera on Sunday.

AAP, when entered into the electoral fray in Gujarat, had high hopes for the state. Arvind Kejriwal and other party members visited Gujarat several times in the run-up of the elections. Several experts had predicted that AAP will emerge as the second largest party leaving behind even Congress.

AAP stood to gain anyway, despite dismal performance in Gujarat. With the 14% vote share in Gujarat, AAP is now recognised as a national party. AAP won Punjab, the MCD, 2 MLAs in Goa and 5 MLAs with 14 per cent vote share in Gujarat in aspan of one year. Kejriwal said AAP will form a Government in Gujarat by 2027.

Speaking at the Aam Aadmi Party National Executive meet,Kejriwal asked the people to boycott Chinese goods. He slammed the Modi government saying that the government does not care about the lives of soldiers.
