Missing Rajkot Woman Found With Husband In Singapore

| Updated: December 18, 2022 10:29

A woman, who is missing from her residence in Jasdan city of Rajkot, has been tracked down by the authorities in Singapore. Without notifying anyone from her family or close aides, she left her house on July 5 and travelled to Amreli to marry her boyfriend.

The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajkot police commenced an intense investigation into the missing person complaint filed by Honey’s father Suresh. The authorities discovered that she and her boyfriend, Nihar Vekariya of Ambardi village already got married on July 5 and they ran away to Singapore.

The SOG team utilised technological sources in order to track down the mobile numbers and addresses of Singapore. “We facilitated a video call with the families of both Nihar and Honey. Her father was convinced that she was living happily there,” investigating officer Ranjitsinh Dhandhalof SOG said.

Earlier, the couple showed the marriage certificate to assure the family. The families hid the location of the couple in Singapore from the police officials, as per reports.

“Everything was pre-planned. They had arranged for passports and education visa as Nihar wanted to pursue a cafe management course in Singapore. The couple informed their parents that they plan to stay in Singapore for two years,” the police official added.
