EDI has raided ten underworld linked hideouts so far in Mumbai and surrounding area of the city. This also includes the raid on Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parker’s House. Raids took place under the Section of Prevention of money laundering Act, 2002.
According to the Enforcement Directorate team, the raids action was based upon the recently lodged FIR by National Investigation Agency. According to some sources, the name of a senior politician has also come forward amid the DEA Raids, DEA has not yet officially commented but Shiv Sena leader has called for a Press Conference for accusing the BJP Leaders.
This raids came under effect after Police arrested Dawood’s close person and 1993 Bomb Blast accused Abu Bakr was arrested earlier this month he was absconding since last 29 years and was arrested from UAE. EDI officers said “investigation has been initiated at present. The results will come out quickly”
