Morbi Bridge Tragedy: Court Rejects Bail Plea Of Oreva Boss Jaysukh Patel

The Morbi hanging bridge tragedy is the subject of important news. In which the prime accused Jaysukh Patel’s bail plea was denied by the Morbi Sessions Court on Saturday. 

Jaysukh Patel, who is incarcerated, frequently sought bail. His condition worsened today, and he was transferred right away to the Morbi Hospital to receive treatment. He was being treated by the doctors there, who also advised that he should see a neurosurgeon for a checkup. 

The main accused in the Morbi tragedy, Jaysukh Patel, the MD of the Oreva group, is detained in cell number 9. He turned himself in on December 31.  

The Machu River Suspension Bridge, which had been constructed for 141 years, collapsed on the day of the Diwali festival in 2022. More than 135 people died in this tragedy. Also, it was mentioned that the renovation work on the bridge cost roughly Rs 2 crore.

He argued that the overcrowding on the bridge relative to the recommended capacity was what caused this accident.
