The frequency with which heroin and other hard drugs are being unearthed in coastal Gujarat in recent months has all the reasons to be scared. While it is appreciable that the law enforcing agencies seem to be on right track, the number of people from the coastal villages involved in the dirty trade is certainly a reason wo worry.
The Anti-Terrorism Squad of Gujarat Police seized 24 kg of heroin from Navadra in Jam-Kalyanpura taluka of Devbhoomi-Dwarka district, while working on the information gathered from a detainee Arvind Yadav who came to receive the 12 kg drug consignment from a Jamangar Resident Iqbal Qadri.
The trail established reveal that 132kg of heroin was brought from a Pakistani Zahid Bashir Baloch by Mukhtar Hussein alias Jabbar Jodia and Ghulam Bhagad from Jodia and Salaya respectively, on the instructions of brother of Hussein, Isa Rav. Shamsuddin Saiyyed , known as Pirzada Bapu also, from Jinjuda Morbi was an accomplice to the duo.
Bhola Shooter ( Bharatbhushan Sharma), a notorious gangster, who is running a racket of illegal activities while jailed in a Faridkot prison, with the help of his two accomplices Ankit Jakhad and Arvind Yadav was to be the beneficiary further down the line of the 12 kg drug seized. Bharatbhushan Sharma, Ankit Jakhad and Arvind Yadav are all parts of crime channel linked to Lawrence Bishnoi Gang of Rajasthan.
After the arrest of three from Gujarat for possession of 120kg heroin worth Rs.600 crores from Morbi, the police came to know that a consignment of 24kg was kept with Anwar Patelia of Navadra Village in Devbhumi Dwarka district.
