Khodal Dham President Naresh Patel said on Monday that no hurricane can shake him.
Speaking at the fifth Patotsav of Khodal, Patel appealed to his community to unite and elect a loyal leader who would serve the community without falling in love with his position.
Khodal Dham is a Hindu temple complex located in Kagvad in the Rajkot district of Gujarat. The temple is dedicated to Khodal, a patron deity of the Leuva Patel community.
Mr Patel said that politics is an important and can never be overlooked. “Our society needs leaders who serve the society, not leaders who cling to the chair.”
Asked about his involvement in politics, Patel said, “It is up to my society to decide whether I want to enter politics or not.”
