Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday arrived at the well-known Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu, the southernmost region of mainland India, and commenced a 45-hour meditation.

PM Modi reportedly began his meditation on Thursday evening at around 6:45 p.m., according to sources. The PM will follow a liquid diet involving grape juice, coconut water, and other liquids throughout the meditation period.

According to further reports, the PM will observe a silence period throughout the meditation time and will not leave the meditation hall.

At the conclusion of his Lok Sabha election campaign, PM Modi embarks on a spiritual retreat. At the same location where spiritual master Swami Vivekananda meditated 131 years ago, he will dedicate 45 hours to meditation.

Young Modi, Same Location

A 33-year-old picture of the PM in the same location began making the rounds on social media as he left for his southern trip. The picture, which dates from December 11, 1991, features a young Narendra Modi at the Ekta Yatra with BJP veteran Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi.

Following its reappearance on social media, the image has created a lot of attention and is being extensively shared on these platforms.

The Ekta Yatra, also known as the Unity March, began in Kanniyakumari in December 1991 and came to an end on January 26, 1992, with the hoisting of the national flag in Srinagar. It was coordinated by a young Narendra Modi and headed by Murli Manohar Joshi.

The yatra made it abundantly evident to the country and the rest of the world that India will resist the forces of terror and division by remaining steadfast and unified.

PM Modi will be meditating at Dhyan Mandapam, where spiritual icon Vivekananda, whom Modi greatly admires, from the evening of May 30 to the evening of June 1.

After the 2019 election campaign, the Prime Minister conducted a similar exercise at a Kedarnath cave.

On June 1, voting will take place in 47 parliamentary seats spread across seven states as well as the union territory of Chandigarh. In this phase, 904 candidates are competing for office.
