Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday praised the armed forces for carrying out precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, saying the action targeted those who killed innocent people.
He was inaugurating 50 infrastructure projects by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) across six states and two Union Territories,
“As you all know, last night the Indian forces created a new history by displaying their valour and courage. The Indian armed forces have acted with precision, alertness and sensitivity. The targets we had set have been destroyed with precision as per the planned plan,” he said, about “Operation Sindoor”.
Singh said the armed forces showed sensitivity to ensure that no civilian location or civilian population was affected.
“That is, the army has shown a kind of precision, precaution and compassion for which I congratulate our army soldiers and officers on behalf of the entire country,” he added.
Singh said that India exercised its ‘right to respond’ to the attack on its soil and said the operation was aimed at breaking the morale of the terrorists.
“Our action has been taken very thoughtfully and in a measured manner. With the aim of breaking the morale of the terrorists. This action has been limited only to their camps and other infrastructure,” he said.
