Sector 21, Gandhinagar Police has booked a businessman for suicide abetment and for dishonestly misappropriating property belonging to a deceased person at the time of his or her death.
Rutvik Thakkar resident of Sector 26 and Komal Raval resident of Sector 24 in Gandhinagar were business partners in an export-import firm since about one year and half. On November 6, Rutvik had called mother of Komal, Seema telling her to check with her daughter as he was apprehensive that Kimal might take a wrong step.
When the parents rushed to the room of Komal, she was found handing from the ceiling with a dupatta. She was immediately rushed to the Gandhinagar Civil Hospital to be declared dead on arrival.
In the meantime, Rutvik visited house of Komal and ran away with her mobile phone. When Sagar, Komal’s brother had called Rutvik from Civil Hospital, he had relied that he had met with an accident on Adalaj-Uvarsad highway. When Sagar tried calling Komal’s phone, it remained unanswered. When police looked for the location of Komal’s phone, it was traced to Rutvik.
Komal’s father Ashwin Raval who is running a garment shop has informed the police that Rutvik was the last person to call Komal. Ashwin Raval also alleged that Rutvik was responsible for the suicide of his daughter Komal. Police has started the proceedings.
