| Updated: February 22, 2024 16:11

In Tarabh village of Visnagar taluka in Mehsana, a golden consecration festival is underway at the newly constructed Shivdham in Valinath Dham. Millions of devotees from across the country and abroad are visiting this festival of the Maldhari community, which will last for seven days. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the festival on Wedensday.

After attending the golden jubilee celebration of GCMMF in Ahmedabad, PM Modi arrived at the consecration ceremony of Valinath Mahadev. After performing the rituals, he said that while Valinath Shivdham was a pilgrimage for the country and the world, it was a revered guru seat for the Rabari community. He also mentioned that this was a unique era in which both divine service and national service were progressing rapidly.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his speech by saying ‘Jai Vali Nath… Hinglaj Mataji ki… Bhagwan Shri Dattatreya ki… Jai Bola’ and then asked ‘How are you all?’ and inquired about everyone’s well-being.

“Valinath has made a mark. But today there is a different kind of joy. There is as much welcome and honour in the world, but when you go home, there is joy. When you come to your hometown, there is joy and excitement.” Saying this, he expressed his happiness to be in Gujarat. ‘Based on the environment I saw, I can say…’

After giving a speech in Gujarati till here, the Prime Minister addressed in Hindi. ‘‘I salute all you devotees filled with faith and devotion, see what a coincidence it is that exactly one month ago on 22nd January, I was at the feet of Lord Rama in Ayodhya, where I got the opportunity to participate in the historic event of Pran Pratishtha of Prabhu Ram Lalla. Later, I got the opportunity to inaugurate the first Hindu temple of the Gulf countries in Abu Dham. Just two or three days ago, I also got the opportunity to lay the foundation stone of Kalki Dham in Sambhal, UP. Today, I had the fortune to perform puja after the consecration in this grand divine temple in Tarabh.’

He further said, “Friends, Valinath Shivdham is a pilgrimage for the country and the world, but it is a revered guru seat for the Rabari community. This is a unique era in India’s development journey, a time when both divine work and national work are progressing rapidly. Divine service is also happening, national service is also happening. Today, on one hand, this sacred work has been accomplished. There, projects worth Rs 13,000 crore related to development have also been inaugurated and dedicated. These projects, rail, road, court, transport, water, national security, urban development, tourism, etc. have been done. This will make people’s lives easier, and new opportunities for employment, self-employment will be created for the youth of this region. Today, I am experiencing a divine energy in this holy land. This energy, which has been going on for thousands of years, connects us with that spiritual consciousness, which also connects us with Lord Krishna and Lord Mahadevji. This energy also connects us with that journey which Gadipati Mahant Veermagiri Bapu had started. I also salute Gadipati Pujya Jayramgiri Bapu.”
