To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, the Indian government is set to release a special Rs 20 coin and stamp. The coin, confirmed by a gazette notification from the Ministry of Finance, will be composed of 50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel, and 5% zinc, weighing 35 gm with a diameter of 44 mm.
The Vibrant Gujarat Summit, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2003, has become a model for investor meets across India. The 2024 edition of the summit, scheduled from January 10 to 13, has already secured investment MoUs worth Rs 10 lakh crore across sectors like engineering, healthcare, agriculture, and carbon credits, potentially generating 3.7 lakh job opportunities.
